Pioneering Broadband Expansion in Alabama with $6.3 Million Grant

We are excited to announce that JMF Solutions has been awarded a $6.3 million grant as part of Governor Kay Ivey’s initiative to expand broadband access in Alabama. This grant, a portion of a larger $188 million funding, is dedicated to supporting middle-mile broadband projects across the state. JMF Solutions will play a crucial role in this initiative, overseeing four key projects spanning over 1,169 miles, covering various counties, and positively impacting 24 anchor institutions. This initiative is a testament to our commitment to enhancing internet connectivity, especially in rural areas, and is a part of the broader strategy to improve Alabama’s high-speed internet infrastructure.

We are building completely open source, open access, highly resilient multi-100gb backbone networks between the poorest areas in our State. No more needing a datacenter for resilient cloud and network services. Ixp.farm utilizes our local rural hospitals and universities as node locations for our network.
